Programs
Inverness Early Learning Center is a ministry of the Inverness Presbyterian Church. Select church members and the preschool Director are a part of the Preschool Board of Directors. The preschool is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education. We look forward to a wonderful school year with our preschool families!
School Hours
Preschool 3's Class meets on Tuesday and Friday, 8:45 am-11:15am or 12:00pm- 2:30pm

Preschool 4's Classe meets on Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 8:30am-11:15am or 12:00pm-2:45pm

Pre-K Class meets Monday-Friday, 9:00-3:00pm

The Curriculum
​
Our program for the preschool three- and four-year-old classes provides levels of growth in socialization, communication skills, and physical education. An awareness of each child's needs and individual skills are carefully considered as we plan our units, lessons, and activities. We provide readiness experiences to develop visual, auditory and verbal skills. Concrete experiences will be given on a regular basis in the following areas: Art, Bible, Communications, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Science and Health.

We have created a curriculum for the Pre-K class that prepares our students for entry into kindergarten. Activities in this program will have an enhanced focus skills from Language and Literacy Development, Math and Science and Social and Emotional Development. Students will be engaged in activities that promote critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. We will also explore stories from the Bible to grow spiritually as we learn God's Word!
